Sung Hanbin has established himself as a skilled MC since his debut. The ZEROBASEONE leader has hosted many award ceremonies, music shows, and festivals.
Expanding his impressive resume, he will now host the upcoming reality survival show “Street Woman Fighter”, which is set to premiere in May.
On March 26, TenAsia exclusively reported that Sung Hanbin has been chosen to host Mnet’s global dance survival program “Street Woman Fighter”.
Born in 2001, Sung rose to fame after finishing second on Mnet’s “Boy’s Planet” in 2023 and debuting as a member of ZEROBASEONE. As a skilled all-rounder and leader, he has been successfully guiding his nine-member group.
Before debuting, he trained under renowned dancer Spella and was the sole male member of Spella’s crew. On “Boy’s Planet”, he impressed audiences with his tattling skills and a spontaneous performance with Lip J.
Sung Hanbin has been serving as an MC of the domestic music show “M Countdown” since 2023. He was joined by RIIZE’s Sohee and BOYNEXTDOOR’s Myung Jaehyun as new MCs.
Last year, he hosted the prestigious Asia Artist Awards (AAA) with Jang Wonyoung and Ryu Jun Yeol. He returned as AAA MC for the second time last year. In addition, he also participated as the storyteller for the second part of the popular survival show “I-LAND” season 2.
“Street Woman Fighter” is a reality TV show that crowns the best female street dance crew in Korea. The first season (2021) was a huge hit, and the second season (2023) was just as popular, with a record 2.6% viewership rating. The show’s intense dance competitions and strong female performers have made it a fan favorite.
The new season of SWF brings together six teams from five countries – South Korea, New Zealand, the United States, Japan, and Australia – to compete for national pride. With a stronger-than-ever lineup, expectations are high for the world-class dancers who will participate and the choreography they will perform to K-POP music.
Team Korea consists of Gabee, Aiki, Monica, Honey J, Lip J, No:Ze, Lee Jung, Hyojin Choi, and Lee Hei.
Kang Daniel has hosted the entire series, including “Street Woman Fighter”, “Street Man Fighter”, and “Stage Fighter”. However, this year, Sung Hanbin will take over as the new host. As a result, attention is centered on the new energy and hosting style he will bring to the series.
