The 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards wrapped up on May 8 at COEX Hall D in Seoul. The prestigious award ceremony honored the best in South Korean television, film, and theater. A musical category was included for the first time this year to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Korean musical theater.

Veteran actors like Lee Byung Hun and Ryu Seung Ryong walked alongside younger stars. Attendees included Ahn Hyo Seop, Kim Go Eun, and Lee Junho, while K-pop idols-turned-actors like Lim Yoona and Park Ji Hoon. Actress Shin Hyun Bin stumbled on the red carpet after stepping on her long purple dress.

The ceremony also saw several popular duos reunite to present awards together. Ji Chang Wook and Park Eun Bin appeared on stage ahead of their upcoming projects. Kim So Hyun reunited with her My Lovely Liar co-star Hwang Min Hyun. Song Kang chose the Baeksang stage as his first major official public event since completing his military service.

  • Film Grand Prize: Yoo Hae Jin for his role in The King’s Warden
