Jellyfish Entertainment has announced a major change for EVNNE, confirming that the group will continue as a five-member team starting next year.
On December 8, 2025, the agency revealed that Keita, Park Hanbin, Lee Jeonghyeon, Mun Junghyun, and Park Jihoo have all agreed to sign new, direct exclusive contracts with Jellyfish beginning January 2026. With these renewals, the five members will be fully transferring to Jellyfish and will continue EVNNE’s activities as an official group under the label.
Meanwhile, members Yoo Seungeon and Ji Yunseo will conclude their promotions with EVNNE at the end of the year. Their current contracts expire on December 31, 2025, after which they will return to their original company, Yuehua Entertainment, to pursue new activities there.
This confirms weeks of speculation after Jellyfish said on November 9 that negotiations were still ongoing and full-group activities could not yet be guaranteed.
This restructuring reflects the group’s unique history. EVNNE was formed in 2023 as a project group made up of Boys Planet contestants who did not debut in ZEROBASEONE.
The seven members came from three different agencies—Rain Company (Keita), WAKEONE (Lee Jeonghyeon, Park Hanbin, Mun Junghyun, Park Jihoo), and Yuehua (Ji Yunseo and Yoo Seungeon). Their long-term plans depended on each company’s direction.
The five members who chose to stay have decided to establish their careers with Jellyfish. On the other hand, Yuehua chose to bring Seungeon and Yunseo back in-house.
Yoo Seungeon, known for his strong vocals and for placing 16th on Boys Planet, served as EVNNE’s main vocalist. Ji Yunseo, who placed 41st on the show, contributed to EVNNE’s music with songwriting credits on songs like “Jukebox” and “Syrup.” He also gained attention for being cousins with TWICE’s Nayeon.
Before this transition, EVNNE had achieved a solid two-year run as a seven-member group. They debuted on September 19, 2023, with Target: Me and the title song “Trouble,” showing a strong, energetic style. Their music evolved with each release, leading up to their fifth EP, Love Anecdote(s), released in August. The comeback highlighted a more romantic, mature concept with “How Can I Do.”
Over the years, they earned their first music show win on January 31, 2024, for “Ugly,” and picked up awards such as the Global Hot Trend Award at The Fact Music Awards and the Emerging Artist award at the Hanteo Music Awards. They also grew internationally through their “Ride With EVNNE” North American tour in 2024 and their “SET N GO” world tour, which included European stops.
The announcement brings mixed emotions for fans. Many are sad to see the end of the seven-member version of EVNNE, but the five-member lineup will now begin a new chapter as an official group under Jellyfish in 2026. The agency promised to support them fully.
As for Seungeon and Yunseo, they return to Yuehua Entertainment with experience to pursue music, acting, or even a future group debut.
