The long-awaited announcement regarding fromis_9’s comeback is finally here.
On July 18, PLEDIS Entertainment shared the first teaser for the group’s upcoming single album, Supersonic, set to release next month.
They last dropped their album, Unlock My World in June 2023 and it has been over a year since they are set to make their next comeback.
PLEDIS Entertainment, the agency representing fromis_9, SEVENTEEN, and TWS, received backlash for not giving the group enough opportunities to shine.
While most HYBE groups release music nearly every six months and stay active with appearances at music festivals and other activities, fromis_9 was largely absent from the music scene since their last comeback.
After massive backlash from fans, PLEDIS shared schedules for the group activities, their August comeback, and appearances at music festivals.
In addition, fromis_9 recently held a photo exhibition to celebrate the release of their photobook FROM SUMMER. The exhibition was held at Geumho Albert in Geumho-dong, Seoul, from July 5 to 14.
More promotional content for their upcoming single, Supersonic is set to release in the coming days and weeks.
Lastly, fromis_9’s Supersonic will be released on global music platforms on August 12.
