BLACKPINK’s Jisoo has made history by holding the top two spots for first-day sales on Hanteo, South Korea’s prominent music chart. Her latest release, ‘AMORTAGE’, has secured the second-highest first-day sales for a female soloist, just behind her own record-breaking debut single album ‘ME’.
On February 14, the BLACKPINK vocalist released her first-ever mini-album “AMORTAGE” on all music platforms. Notably, she made her first solo comeback in two years after releasing “ME” in March 2023.
The album recorded 385, 501 copies on release day, while her debut single album “ME” sold 876,249 copies on the first day. With this, Jisoo holds the top 2 spots on the highest 1st-day sales by a female K-pop solo artist.

She even surpassed the recent release of her bandmate Rosé’s debut studio album “rosie”, which recorded 316,963 copies. Fans will have to wait and see which BLACKPINK members will take the lead in sales, as Jennie and Lisa are both gearing up to release their albums in the next few weeks.
In addition, “AMORTAGE” debuted at #3 on US iTunes. It topped iTunes in 23 countries such as Chile, Belgium, Mexico, Qatar, Singapore, Turkey, UAE, and more.
The album contains 4 songs including lead single “earthquake” and b-side songs “Your Love”, “Tears”, and “Hugs&Kisses”. The title track “earthquake has surpassed 7.1 million views within 11 hours of release.
To celebrate her latest release, she held two intimate fan meetups “SOO IN LOVE” with 144 lucky fans. Jisoo is also set to embark on her first-ever solo world tour “LIGHTS, LOVE, ACTION”, dates to be announced soon.
February was an exciting month for her fans as she also made her acting comeback with the zombie comedy “Newtopia”, which premiered on February 7.
Meanwhile, she will promote her upcoming album on various music platforms and reunite with BLACKPINK for a comeback in May followed by a world tour, expected to draw 40,000 fans per concert.
