Lisa shared that there’s one BLACKPINK song she just can’t listen to anymore. BLACKPINK’s global hits have won hearts everywhere, but the Thai-born K-pop star has surprisingly grown tired of one particular track.
More recently, she gave an interview to the renowned media outlet Guardian and revealed her musical preferences. During the interview, Lisa was asked if there is a song she no longer listens to, and she named “Boombayah” by BLACKPINK.
She explained the reason saying, “Not because of the song, it is just that dance moves are really aggressive. There is a lot of whipping your head, so it is really intense to perform.”
For those unversed, “Boombayah” was part of their debut single “Square One”, dropped on August 8, 2016. “Boombayah” along with “Whistle” served as the title track for the debut single “Square One”. Released over 8 years ago, the song has surpassed over 1.7 billion views on YouTube.
In addition, Lisa shared that she auditioned with “Ice Cream Freeze (Let’s Chill)” by Hannah Montana for BLACKPINK. In addition, the “ROCKSTAR” rapper revealed that she secretly likes “You Were Beautiful” by DAY6.
She also expressed her love for the legendary K-pop group BIGBANG and the first record she bought was member Taeyang’s first solo album “Solar”.
On the work front, Lisa made her acting debut in “The White Lotus” season 3 and released her solo debut album “ALTER EGO” last month. The album, featuring 15 tracks, debuted at No.7 on Billboard 200. She will perform at Coachella 2025 next month as a solo performer and resume BLACKPINK activities soon. The 4-member K-pop girl group is expected to make a May comeback and go on a world tour in July. The tour is expected to draw over 50,000 fans per show, the largest audience for a K-pop tour.
