In January, Billboard announced the winners of the 2024 Billboard Women in Music Awards, and NewJeans won the prestigious Group of the Year award.
They became the first K-pop group to claim the coveted international award, and the first 4th-gen group to clinch 9 daesangs at domestic award ceremonies.
On March 7, the award ceremony was held in LA and many notable artists including Ice Spice, Charli XCX, Katy Perry, Kylie Minogue, Saweetie, Andra Day, Tems, Ellie Goulding, and more attended the event.
At the award ceremony, NewJeans delivered an iconic performance of their hit songs, Super Shy and ETA.
Besides that, the group talked about touring plans and new music in an interview on the red carpet, Danielle shared “We can’t spoil too much but I’m just going to say that we’re preparing and I mean we’re practicing hard and we can’t wait to share new music with everyone.”
Lastly, during their acceptance speech, NewJeans delivered a heartfelt and touching message, expressing their deep gratitude for this historic win.
