Stray Kids has joined the long list of donors who have contributed to combat wildfires in Korea. Several Korean celebrities including BTS members, Mark, Byeon Woo Seok, Jiwoong, Jennie, Haechan, Kim Sejeong, SEVENTEEN, IU, and Lee Jong Suk have generously contributed to support relief efforts.
On April 1, Stray Kids made a generous donation of 800 million won (around 550,000 USD) to provide emergency relief to victims of the devastating wildfires in Ulsan, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam. Notably, their agency JYP Entertainment previously donated 500 million won to forest fire victims. Many JYPE artists have made massive donations to support relief efforts.
Stray Kids Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association (400 million won) and World Vision (400 million won). The funds will be used for emergency relief goods, urgent living expenses, and support for firefighters.
Stray Kids expressed, “We deeply empathize with the pain of the victims who lost their daily lives in an instant, and we would like to express our gratitude to all those who are working hard together.”
Stray Kids has consistently supported those in need globally and locally, both as a group and individually. Their philanthropic efforts began with overseas child sponsorship and have since expanded to various initiatives.
