K-pop fans, buckle up: three BLACKPINK members are in serious solo mode. Jennie, Jisoo, and Rosé are each reportedly preparing new solo releases. On the other hand, Lisa may become the first BLACKPINK member to embark on a solo world tour.
At the same time, BLACKPINK is currently in the middle of their massive “DEADLINE World Tour” and preparing for a group comeback, the members are also keeping busy with their individual artistic endeavors. If it feels like there’s a constant stream of news, that’s because there is!
Adding to the excitement, this happens while the group gears up for collective activity, too, which makes the timing especially electric.
BLACKPINK’s ongoing tour runs until late January 2026. Following that, members may, once again, resume solo activities.
Here’s a look at what Jennie, Jisoo, and Lisa, and Rosé have been up to in their solo careers.
Jennie’s Next Solo Comeback
Jennie already made big waves with her solo album Ruby and title track like JENNIE, which dropped in March and achieved strong global chart performance. That sets a high bar, and now she is reportedly gearing up for yet another solo project. Ruby received praise from fans and critics and is a strong contender for the Album of the Year award.
Her previous work and fashion-icon status mean expectations are high, and the buzz suggests something new is in the pipeline. Whether it is a single or a full album hasn’t been fully confirmed.
For her debut studio album, she collaborated with top musicians like Dua Lipa, Doechii, Kali Uchis, FKJ, Dominic Fike, and Childish Gambino. Jennie might have plenty more surprises in store for her upcoming solo release.
Jisoo’s Solo Comeback is Happening Soon
Jisoo had her solo EP Amortage released on February 14, via her own label and Warner Records. Interestingly, in early October, she teased a digital single with a major collaborator: the track titled Eyes Closed (a duet with Zayn), which debuted at #72.
This time, Jisoo is stepping into interesting collaborations. Her upcoming release will have more collaborations with international musicians. The “Flower” singer has repeatedly hinted at a solo comeback lately. Since BLACKPINK’s comeback is pushed to December, Jisoo might release her solo album in early 2026 or when the tour ends.
Fans were upset that her last album, “Amortage,” only included four tracks, given that she was making a comeback after two years. The 30-year-old singer reassured fans that there is more in store for them and will release another album soon.
In her latest Vanity Fair interview, Jisoo talked candidly about her next album.
This time, I prepared more songs. I have been working really hard since the start of the year to show the fans. I think the fans want a variety of content, so I have been working on more videos. And I have been working hard to show more diverse sides of myself.
What’s Ahead for Rosé?
Rosé, by far, had the most successful solo comeback of all BLACKPINK members with the release of the full album rosie, pre-release, APT. (Bruno Mars), and lead single toxic till the end.
Rosé has also been quietly building momentum. Her song APT. with Bruno Mars became the longest-charting K-pop song on Billboard HOT 100 of all time.
While her solo album was released in December 2024, she was also part of the F1: The Movie soundtrack and featured on Alex Warren on his song ‘On My Mind.’
On top of all, she won the Song of the Year award at the MTV VMAs, a feat no K-pop act has achieved up until now. That’s not the best part, she has submitted her album and songs (APT. and toxic till the end) for Grammy consideration. There is a strong chance that Rosé, along with other BLACKPINK members, will earn nominations and potentially win some awards.
After her solo work and major brand partnerships, recent reports say she is prepping another solo return. While specific release dates or titles haven’t been solidly confirmed publicly, the chatter is strong that a new solo era for Rosé is coming soon. BLINKs can expect some cool collabs and chart-topping hits.
Lisa Plans World Tour
Last but not least, Lisa has something huge in store for fans as well and has recently signed with Wasserman Music for a global tour. While nothing is confirmed about her solo release, she may go on a solo tour next year. The “Rockstar” rapper has already performed at major music festivals and awards shows, including Coachella, Oscars 2025, MTV VMAs, Global Citizen Festival, Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, and more.
In addition, she inked an exclusive deal with WME to pursue her acting career in Hollywood.
Shortly after the signing, reports emerged that she will make her film debut opposite Ma Dong Seok and Lee Jin Wook in a spin-off of Netflix’s popular ‘Extraction.’ Filming is set to begin in the coming months, and an official announcement is due soon.
In other news, Jennie, Rosé, Lisa, and Jisoo have begun filming a music video for BLACKPINK’s December comeback. At the same time, they have resumed the ‘Deadline’ world with their next performances in Bangkok this weekend.
